BIG IMPACT FOR SMALL SPACES

Trends show that householders today look for at least two bathrooms in their homes, this means that space both upstairs and downstairs is being squeezed to meet requirements. As a result, ranges of sanitaryware are getting smaller and Mayfair Taps and Showers has launched a collection of compact taps to match.

Mayfair has launched the compact taps as additions to 6 of its best selling ranges. The cloakroom monobloc mixers are available in two sizes that allows for an on-deck and freestanding option.

Changes in building regulations mean that a cloakroom is now a legal requirement for all new-build properties, making already compact new build homes even tighter on space to meet all customers' requirements. The casualty of this is that allocated bathroom space gets smaller. Sarah Wharton, Mayfair's Marketing Manager says "Delivering products that meet customers' requirements is an essential part of the Mayfair ethos, the cloakroom taps make smaller basins much easier to use as well as making the tap and basin look in proportion".

GREAT GUIDE, AMAZING DESIGNS

New collections from National Distributors, S. J.Dixon & Son Ltd. According to Sales Director, Ron Campbell: “In the past few months we have seen a very welcome upsurge of interest in wallcoverings, particularly for use in feature walls. This gives the trade an opportunity to sell co-ordinating designs and borders on the other walls in the home. As a result, those retailers offering genuinely original and innovative designs are now reaping the benefits of an upsurge in their wallcovering sales. Certainly as far as Dixons is concerned, we have taken the decision to source better, higher quality wallcoverings for our exclusive pattern book ranges.” In order to provide retailers with accurate, up-to-date information and pricing on the new ranges, the company is publishing a new edition of its comprehensive Wallcovering Price guide.
